Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;
You will be responsible for carrying out specialist highways maintenance or construction work. Respond to incidents and call outs during or out of hours as required.
Assist with Winter Maintenance.
Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;
To supervise a wide variety of highways maintenance or construction works, including supply chain partners. Able to take responsibility for a minimum of 4-person team to ensure works are completed a specified and to the scheduled programme.
Formal qualifications required;
Winter Maintenance Driver
Use of Airwaves
NRSWA Operative, Units 1, 2 and 10
PLUS skills in at least two of the following: · NHSS 12A/B Operative · NHSS 12C Operative · NHSS 12D · NHSS 2B VRS (basic) · NHSS 2B VRS Lead Erector (without Winter Maintenance) · Specialist Plant Operator, Excavator, Gully Emptier, Road Sweeper, Telehandler, IPV, MEWP, Barrier Rig, etc….) · Grass / Hedge cutting using Tractor & Flail · NRSWA Operative (Units LA, O1-06, and 08) · Stonemasonry / Brickwork
PLUS specialist skills in at least one of the following: · NHSS 12A Foreman · NHSS 12B LTMO · NHSS 12C Supervisor · NHSS 12D T6 · NHSS 2B VRS Lead Erector · NRSWA Supervisor · Civils Based Tickets and significant experience
18 months + experience in Highways Construction
Experience in Papyrus
You will have good knowledge of health & safety procedures
Enthusiastic and team player prepared to contribute and participate fully in team work.
Have a courteous approach with colleagues and members of the public
